Regarding our hostel facilities being optional –

As the Symbiosis Viman Nagar Campus (which houses SCMC) is not a residential campus it is not mandatory to stay in the hostel.

Regarding admission of international students –

Admission of international students (FN / PIO / NRI) are centralised for all the constituents / departments of Symbiosis International University and routed through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE); e-mail : intadmissions@symbiosis.ac.in

Regarding the possibility of pursuing the Bachelor of Arts - Mass Communication programme at our NOIDA campus –

Our campus in NOIDA does not offer the three-year full-time undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Arts - Mass Communication) programme.

Regarding the difference between SIMC & SCMC –

While SIMC offers post graduate degree programmes (MA, MBA), SCMC offers an under graduate degree programme (BA) in Mass Communication / Communication Management.

Regarding checking SET score –

To check your SET score click here; Use your SET ID and password for the same.

Regarding expected cut-off for the second round of admission –

The expected cut-off is impossible to predict.

It depends on -

  1. a) the level of difficulty of SET in a particular year,
  2. b) the number of applicants appearing for the same &
  3. c) the average intelligence of those applicants.

Regarding information on shortlisting for the second round of admission –

The same will be notified on our website; Apart from that an e-mail will be sent to that effect as well.

Regarding the second round of admission –

The Second Round of admission comprises a Personal Interaction (PI), a Writing Ability Test (WAT) and a Studio Test (ST).

The Personal Interaction is a conversation cum counselling session which is designed to gauge your capabilities, educational background, hobbies & interests, future aspirations, etc. This does not require preparation.

It may help you to peruse our website and social media sites (like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Blog), though.

The Writing Ability Test is a subjective essay-type test which evaluates your written communication skills. This does not require preparation.

For example, you may be asked to write an essay on the following subject : Students often have to choose between living in a hostel and an apartment - while pursuing their graduation. Which one would you prefer and why?

The Studio Test comprises simple tasks. This does not require preparation.

For example, you may be given a set of pictures and asked to arrange the same in such a manner that it tells a story.
